It starts here - SALVATION!

It starts here - SALVATION!

There is a saying that is known fairly well in the church, especially the black church where the preacher says, "give me your hand and give God your heart". The simplicity of confessing with our mouths and believing with our hearts that Jesus Christ is Lord, to be saved seems like it's not enough bit to start your journey, it is.

John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

God's love brought you here today, His love will keep you day by day, and He will give you a life worth living as you surrender more and more to Him.

I am a witness to how deep God's love goes. In my lowest points of life, He came to get me and remind me that I was His and I want you to be His cause there is no greater love than that of our Father God.

Romans 8:31-39 - And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are adopted into the family of God with other believers and life as we know it changes because we are sealed for all eternity. This is a gift that I desire no human leave this earth without accepting in the beautiful grace that it has been given.

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and want to, pray this prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, I repent of my sin. I turn to You. Father, I receive Your Son, Jesus Christ, as my Lord and Savior. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose for me.

I believe that His Blood washes me and cleanses me from all unrighteousness. Father, in You, I am set free. Father, through the Blood of your Son, Jesus Christ my past is history, and my future is bright.

Holy Spirit you are welcome to take your rightful place and I give you access to all of me.

Father, in You, I am made new. Father, in You, I am complete. Father, in You, I am made whole. Father, in You, I am restored. Father, I surrender every area of my life to You now and forever. In Jesus Name. Amen.

If you just prayed this prayer - YOU ARE SAVED! Now the work really begins.

If you don't belong to a local church, I would encourage you to start looking. Don't let this overwhelm you because God is with you every step of the way. Remember every church is not the same and you have every right to visit and decide that 'this' is not the place for you.

Teaching the BIBLE in its truest form should be the bases of where you end up and Holy Spirit, who you now have access to now, will lead and guide you. Here are a few things to get you started. I am still on my journey, almost 20 years after I recommitted my life to Christ. What worked for me in the beginning has changed for this time in my life. Don't get overwhelmed about getting this right, TRUST ME, I've done enough of that for all of us. Just take your time, take His hand, open your heart and enjoy the ups and downs (the downs take a minute to find joy in sometimes).
